Light in the darkness

For those who are going through a difficult time at the moment, I’d like to remind you of this… “Even the smallest candle shines bright in the darkness”
You are stronger than you know and there is a God who loves you unconditionally, even though you may not feel it right now, keep carrying on and when you look back you will see how He carried you in those darkest of days.
“Footprints In The Sand” by Mary Stevenson
One night I had a dream.
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord..
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life..
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,

one belonging to me, and the other to the Lord..
When the last scene of my life flashed before me,

I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life there was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me

and I questioned the Lord about it:

“Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I need you most you would leave me.”
The Lord replied:

“My precious child, I love you and would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then

that I carried you.”

‘…Naaman…went away in a rage.’

2 Kings 5:12 NLT

As a general in the Syrian army, Naaman was accustomed to having things his own way. So when Elisha told him to dip seven times in the muddy Jordan River to be healed of leprosy, he ‘went away in a rage’. He said, ‘Aren’t there cleaner rivers? Couldn’t the prophet just lay hands on me and heal me?’ Fortunately, he listened to his servants, swallowed his pride and received a miracle. There are important lessons here. Since all progress calls for adapting to change and overcoming obstacles, ask yourself: 1) What’s at the core of my fear and anger over this situation? Am I afraid of the unknown and the changes it may bring? 2) Am I being inflexible and trying to impose my will and wishes in this situation? Am I willing to forfeit God’s perfect will by resisting a change He’s orchestrating? Many of us miss God’s best. Why? Like Naaman, we are accustomed to being waited on and having our ego stroked. E.G.O. means Edging God Out! Are you doing that? 3) Am I being lazy or incompetent, not wanting to invest the necessary time and effort into the change? Unless you’re willing to change, you won’t grow. And if you don’t grow, you won’t position yourself to receive the blessing God has in mind for you. Charles Franklin Kettering said, ‘The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress.’ Today ask God for the emotional and spiritual strength to embrace the changes He’s bringing into your life, and to help you to see them as being for your good (Romans 8:28).

FRAUD IN THE UK

ATTENTION VERY IMPORTANT:
I’ve just had a phone call from someone pretending to be TalkTalk (a telephone company) and they said I had suspicious criminal activity from my IP Address. The woman (had an Indian accent) asked me to go on my computer, at which point I said I wouldn’t as I don’t know who she is and would contact TalkTalk directly as I have their number and resolve this. At that point the woman didn’t say a word and hung up the phone. The number this woman called from is: 02077904611.
I called TalkTalk and they said that it wasn’t them and was most like a scam.
I proceeded to call Action Fraud UK and the gentleman said it is a scam, the woman would have got me to unknowingly add a malware/virus onto my computer, and then have someone else then scam me.
This gentleman said if anything link this including email which ask you to click on the link, not to do it and email (as much details as possible – including forwarding of dodgy emails) to nfibphishing@cityoflondon.pnn.police.uk
You can also call them directly on: 03001232040

It is important we protect ourselves from these scammers and also protect our loved ones. If you can please inform your family and friend, give them the links above and ask them to report anything suspicious, we as a nation can crack down on this.
If you are in the states or another country which isn’t the United Kingdom, there should be an Action Fruad organisation. The best way would be to contact your local police station (none emergency number) and ask them for details on how to report criminal fraud. A Google search may also help.
